Suavs in Thuringia (West of the Saale)

These are the, most likely, Slavic names in Thüringen primarily on the Western bank of the Souava (Saale)* only – according to Reinhard Schottin’s Die Slawen in Thüringen.

* A few caveats: Some of these are on the eastern bank of the Saale. Some of them I could only locate approximately and some not at all. This list does not include all Slavic names in Thuringen – just Schottin’s names – even a cursory look at the map around the same places will show that there are many other place names that could have made this list had Schottin spent more time looking.

Here is the map of these places – notice that they are mostly concentrated in the difficult to reach mountain/hill areas – note too that to the east of these places were Slavs but they were not in Thuringia so they did not make the list apparently (similarly in the south there are plenty such names in Franconia):
